School Background

The captivating history of Quality Junior School begins in 2009, when a determined mother Dr. Maria Mafunga founded the school with a vision of providing world-class primary education after struggling to secure a Grade 1 place for her daughter in preferred private schools. Since then, Quality Junior School (QJS) has emerged as a leading provider of primary education in Zimbabwe.

Situated in the serene residential area of Damofalls in Ruwa, just minutes away from Musasa shops, QJS boasts a sprawling 3.5-hectare campus. The school features an impressive infrastructure, including twelve double classroom blocks that can accommodate up to 30 students per class, totaling 24 classes at any given time. This ensures that every student receives personalized attention and a conducive learning environment.

In addition to offering comprehensive childcare services through its Early Childhood Development (ECD) department for children aged 2 to 5, QJS provides primary education for pupils from Grade 1 to Grade 7. The school has maintained a remarkable 100% pass rate since 2016, underscoring its commitment to academic excellence.

Excitingly, beginning in 2025, Quality Junior School has expanded to include a senior school, aptly named Quality Senior School. This new addition will cater to students beyond Grade 7, offering a seamless transition for students to continue their education in a familiar and supportive environment.

QJS is a non-denominational private school that celebrates diversity, welcoming students of all races, nationalities, and religions. While currently catering only to day scholars, plans are underway to establish a boarding facility to accommodate students from outside Ruwa and Harare, with enrollment expected to commence by January 2025.
